The remote control door lock receiver is supplied voltage at all times from the TBC fuse 15 (CKT 1840 ORN). Ground is supplied on CKT 1050 (BLK) to G201.
The RFA serial data line (CKT 461 ORN) is at 8-12 volts, when idle. When any function on the hand held transmitter is activated, this signal drops to 0-1 volts.
The RKE system is capable of the following functions during normal operation;
• | Lock Doors |
• | Unlock Doors |
• | Rear Liftgate Release |
• | Panic Alarm |
When a button on the transmitter, (key fob), is depressed, the receiver sends a wake up signal to the Body Control Module (BCM) on CKT 461. Along with the wake up message, the receiver sends the command to unlock, lock or panic mode to the BCM. If there is no DTC associated with the requested command, the BCM will lock, unlock the doors or place the vehicle in panic mode. The BCM also sends messages to the remote control door lock receiver during program mode.
