Go to Symptoms

1. Disconnect the RH outside power mirror.
2. Connect a test lamp from CKT 889 (PPL/WHT) cavity D at the RH outside power mirror to ground.
3. Move the Selector Switch to the right position.
4. Press the switch in the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

1. Using a test lamp backprobe CKT 889 (PPL/WHT) from the Outside Rearview Mirror Remote Control Switch to ground.
2. Press the switch in the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the RH outside power mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair an open in CKT 889 (PPL/WHT) between the RH outside power mirror and the outside rearview mirror control switch.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Replace the outside rearview mirror control switch. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
