Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the body side front lower trim panel. Refer to Body Side Front Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Important: Note the location of the blower motor electrical connectors before disconnecting them.

  3. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connectors.

  4. Object Number: 280251  Size: SH
  5. Remove the retaining screws.
  6. Important: Note the orientation of the blower motor assembly before removing the assembly from the case.

  7. Remove the blower motor assembly from the blower case.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the blower motor assembly to the blower case.

  2. Object Number: 280251  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the blower motor retaining screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the blower motor retaining screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  5. Connect the blower motor electrical connectors.
  6. Install the body side front lower trim panel. Refer to Body Side Front Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
