Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear bench seat to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the screw retaining the lower hinge cover.

  3. Object Number: 501546  Size: SH
  4. Pry off the lower hinge cover.

  5. Object Number: 501551  Size: SH
  6. Pry off the upper hinge cover.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the upper seat back hinge cover as follows:
  2. 1.1. Align the fasteners with the hinge.

    Object Number: 501546  Size: SH
    1.2. Press the lower seat back hinge cover into place.
  3. Install the lower seat back hinge cover as follows:
  4. 2.1. Align the fasteners with the hinge.

    Object Number: 501551  Size: SH
    2.2. Press the upper seat back hinge cover into place.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the lower seat back hinge cover retaining screw.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the lower seat back hinge cover retaining screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the rear bench seat to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement .
