Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the necessary hoses from the generator bracket.

    2. Object Number: 163788 Size: SH
  2. Remove the mounting bolts from the left side of the A/C compressor.
  3. Remove the mounting bolt from the backside of the generator.
  4. Remove the generator bracket from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 163788 Size: SH
  1. Install the generator bracket to the vehicle.
  2. Install the mounting bolt to the backside of the generator.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the mounting bolt to the backside of the generator to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the mounting bolts to the left side of the A/C compressor.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the mounting bolts to the A/C compressor to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the necessary hoses to the generator bracket.
