Removal Procedure

Notice: The TP sensor is an electrical component. Do not soak the TP sensor in any liquid cleaner or solvent, as damage may result.

  1. Remove the air cleaner and adapter.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector releasing locking tab.

  3. Object Number: 10935  Size: SH
  4. Remove the two TP sensor attaching screw assemblies.

  5. Object Number: 10936  Size: SH
  6. Remove the TP sensor from throttle body assembly.
  7. Remove the TP sensor seal.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 10936  Size: SH
  1. Install the TP sensor seal over throttle shaft.
  2. With throttle valve closed, install the TP sensor on the throttle shaft. Rotate counterclockwise to align mounting holes.

  3. Object Number: 10935  Size: SH
  4. Install the two TP sensor attaching screw assemblies.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw assemblies to 2.0 N·m (18.0 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Connect the electrical connector.
  7. Install the air cleaner and adapter.
