The tie rod ends are self-adjusting for wear. The tie rod ends require periodic lubrication and inspection. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations
Replace the tie rod ends when the following conditions occur (refer to Tie Rod Replacement ):
| • | Excessive up and down motion exists |
| • | Excessive end play |
| • | Loss of motion at the ball stud |
