Headlamp Bulb Replacement Domestic
Removal Procedure
- Turn OFF the headlamp
switch.
Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly
could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal
injury:
• | Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing
the bulb. |
• | Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete. |
• | Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb. |
• | Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass. |
• | Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb. |
• | Properly dispose of the used bulb. |
• | Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children. |
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp bulb.
- Rotate the bulb counterclockwise in order to disengage
the bulb from the headlamp.
- Remove the bulb from the headlamp.
Installation Procedure
- Install the bulb to the
headlamp.
- Rotate the bulb clockwise in order to engage the bulb in the headlamp.
- Connect the electrical connector to the headlamp bulb.
Headlamp Adjustment

Two adjusting screws adjust
the horizontal and the vertical aiming of each headlamp. |
• | The vertical adjustment screw (1) is within the radiator support. You can access this screw through a hole in the radiator suppport.

• | The horizontal adjustment screw (3) is between the radiator support
and the grille. You can access this screw through a hole in the radiator grille.
|
• | Turn the screws using a T15 TORX® head bit. |
• | Adjust the headlamps to the specifications required by state and
local authorities. |
