Exhaust Manifold Replacement Left Side

1. Remove the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold. Refer to General Exhaust System Replacement in Engine Controls.
2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. Disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the EGR inlet pipe from the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Replacement in Engine Controls.
5. Remove the spark plugs. Refer to Spark Plug Replacement in Engine Electrical.
6. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Removal (Left) in engine controls.
7. Clean all sealing surfaces. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Clean and Inspect in engine mechancial.

1. Install the exhaust manifold.
2. Connect the EGR inlet pipe to the manifold. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Replacement in Engine Controls.
3. Install the spark plugs. Refer to Spark Plug Replacement in Engine Electrical.



4. Install the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold. Refer to General Exhaust System Replacement .
5. Connect the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.

Exhaust Manifold Replacement Right Side

1. Remove the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold. Refer to General Exhaust System Replacement in Engine Exhaust.
2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. Disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
5. Remove the oil level indicator tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement .
6. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement .
7. Clean all sealing surfaces. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Clean and Inspect .

1. Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement .
2. Install the oil level indicator tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement in Engine Mechanical.



3. Install the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold. Refer to General Exhaust System Replacement .
4. Connect the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
