  1. Place the headlamp switch in the headlamp position.
  2. Ensure that the headlamps light.
  3. Select high beam.
  4. Disconnect the connector at the instrument cluster.
  5. Connect a unpowered test lamp between the instrument cluster connector, cavity B3 for CKT 11 (LT GRN), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 11 (LT GRN) between the instrument cluster and splice S234.

Is the high beam indicator operative?

Connect a J 39200 DMM between the instrument cluster connector, cavity B1 for CKT 150 (BLK), and ground.

Is continuity present?

Is the filament of the high beam indicator lamp open?

Replace the high beam indicator lamp.

Is the high beam indicator operative?

Repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between ground G201 and the instrument cluster.

  1. Place the headlamp switch in the headlamp position.
  2. Observe that the headlamps are on.
  3. Operate the headlamp dimmer switch in order to select high beam.
  4. Disconnect the connector at the instrument cluster.
  5. Connect an unpowered test lamp between cluster connector cavity B3 for the LT GRN (11) wire and ground.

Did the test lamp light?

Connect a J 39200 DMM between instrument cluster connector cavity B1 for the BLK (150) wire and ground.

Is continuity present?

Repair the open in the LT GRN (11) wire between splice S234 and the instrument cluster.
