  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  2. Disconnect the connector at the daytime running lamp (DRL) control module.
  3. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the DRL control module connector, cavity C for CKT 39 (PNK), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 39 (PNK) between the instrument panel (IP) fuse block and the DRL control module.

Are the DRL operative?

Connect a J 39200 DMM between the DRL control module connector, cavity H for CKT 150 (BLK), and ground.

Is continuity present?

--

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the DRL control module and ground G201.

Are the DRL operative?

  1. Remove the DRL relay from the socket.
  2. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the DRL relay socket, cavity C3 for CKT 39 (PNK), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 39 (PNK) between the IP fuse block and the DRL relay.

Are the DRL operative?

Connect an unpowered test lamp between the DRL diode module connector, cavity A for CKT 340 (ORN), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Are the DRL operative?

Connect an unpowered test lamp between DRL diode module connector, cavity B for CKT 340 (ORN), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Connect an unpowered test lamp between the DRL relay socket, cavity C1 for CKT 340 (ORN), and ground.

Repair the open in CKT 340 (ORN) between the DRL diode module and the DRL relay.

Connect a J 39200 DMM between the DRL relay socket, cavity A3, and the DRL control module connector, cavity G, for CKT 592 (LT GRN/BLK).

Is continuity present?

Repair the open in CKT 592 (LT GRN/BLK) between the DRL relay and the DRL control module.

Are the DRL operative?

  1. Install the DRL relay in the socket.
  2. Connect a fused jumper wire between the DRL control module connector, cavity G, and ground.

Do the DRL light?
