Are the left turn signal lamps operative?

  1. Disconnect connector C200 at the steering column.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C200, pin E9 for the pigtail wire of CKT 16 (PPL), and pin A7 for the pigtail wire of CKT 14 (LT BLU).
  3. Place the turn signal switch in the left turn position.

Is continuity present?

Repair the open in CKT 14 (LT BLU) between connector C200 and splice S236.

Are the left turn signal lamps operative?

Repair the open in the pigtail wire of CKT 14 (LT BLU) in the steering column.

Are the left turn signal lamps operative?

Replace the turn signal switch (part of the multi-function lever).

  1. Disconnect connector C200 at the steering column.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C200, pin E9 for the pigtail wire of CKT 16 (PPL), and pin A6 for the pigtail wire of CKT 15 (DK BLU).
  3. Place the turn signal switch in the right turn position.

Is continuity present?

Repair the open in CKT 15 (DK BLU) between connector C200 and splice S237.

Are the turn signal lamps operative?

Repair the open in the pigtail wire of CKT 15 (DK BLU) in the steering column.

  1. Disconnect connector C200 at the steering column.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector cavity E9 on CKT 1697 (PPL) and cavity A7 on CKT 14 (LT BLU).
  3. Place the turn signal switch in the LEFT TURN position.

Is continuity present?

Locate and repair the opn in CKT 14 (LT BLU) between connector C200 and S236.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Locate and repair the open in CKT 14 (LT BLU) in the steering column.
  2. If there is no open, replace the turn signal switch. The turn signal switch is part of the mulitfunction switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect connector C200 at the steering column.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector cavity E9 on CKT 1697 (PPL) and cavity A6 on CKT 15 (DK BLU).
  3. Place the turn signal switch in the RIGHT TURN position.

Is continuity present?

Locate and repair the opn in CKT 15 (DK BLU) between connector C200 and S237.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Locate and repair the open in CKT 15 (DK BLU) in the steering column.
  2. If there is no open, replace the turn signal switch. The turn signal switch is part of the mulitfunction switch.
