  1. Place the headlamp switch in the PARK LAMPS position.
  2. Visually verify that the headlamps are operative.
  3. Adjust the IP dimmer switch to a mid-range position.
  4. Disconnect the connector at the headlamp leveling switch.
  5. Connect an unpowered test lamp between cavity 58 of the headlamp leveling switch connector on CKT 8 (GRY) and ground.

Did the test lamp light?

Replace the headlamp leveling switch.

  1. Locate the open in CKT 8 (GRY) between the following components:

    • splice S248
  2. Repair the open in CKT 8 (GRY) between the following components:
    3. • The headlamp leveling switch
    • splice S248
