Was the Headlight System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect connector C200 at the steering column.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C200, cavity E13 for CKT 10 (LT BLU) and cavity E11 for CKT 11 (LT GRN).
  3. Operate the headlamp dimmer switch at least twice.
  4. Select the high beam.

Is continuity present?

Repair the open in CKT 11 (LT GRN) between connector C200 and splice S144.

Are the high beam headlamps operative?

  1. Locate the open in CKT 11 (LT GRN) in the steering column.
  2. Repair the open, as needed.

Did you repair an open?

Replace the headlamp dimmer switch.

Are the high beam headlamps operative?

  1. Disconnect C200 at the steering column.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C200 cavity E13 for CKT 10 (LT BLU) pigtail wire.
  3. Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C200 cavity E11 for CKT 11 (LT GRN) pigtail wire.
  4. Operate the headlamp dimmer switch at least twice. Select the high beam.

Is continuity present?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 11 (LT GRN) pigtail wire in the steering column. If the wire is not open, replace the headlamp dimmer switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect C100.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between the following components for CKT 11 (LT GRN):
    3. • Connector C200 cavity E11
    • Connector C100 cavity A2

Is continuity present?

--

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair the open in CKT 11 (LT GRN) between C100, cavity A6 and the underhood fuse relay center.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 11 (LT GRN) between the following components:

    • Connector C200 cavity E11
    • Connector C100 cavity A2
