Was the Exterior Lights System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Disconnect connector C200.
  3. Use an unpowered test lamp to probe between connector C200 pin A2 of CKT 139 (PNK) and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Locate and repair the open in CKT 139 (PNK) between the IP fuse block and C200.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

  1. Verify that the hazard warning switch is fully in the OFF position.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM ) between connector C200 cavity A2 of CKT 139 (PNK) and cavity A3 of CKT 1508 (LT BLU).

Is continuity present?

--

Go to Step 6

    • Locate and repair the open in CKT 139 (PNK) or CKT 1508 (LT BLU).
    • If there are no opens, then replace the hazard warning switch.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C200 cavity E9 of CKT 1697 (PPL) and ground.

Is continuity present?

--

  1. Locate and repair the short to ground in CKT 1697 (PPL) in the steering column.
  2. If the wire is not shorted, then replace the turn signal switch. The turn signal switch is part of the multifunction switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Move the turn signal switch to the LEFT TURN position.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C200 cavity E9 of CKT 1697 (PPL) and cavity A7 of CKT 14 (LT BLU).

Is continuity present?

    • Locate and repair the open to CKT 1697 (PPL) in the steering column.
    • If there is no open, replace the turn signal switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the connector at the turn/hazard lamp flasher.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C200 pin A3 and turn/hazard lamp flasher connector cavity B9 for CKT 1508 (LT BLU).

Is continuity present?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1508 (LT BLU) between connector C200 and the turn/hazard lamp flasher.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C200 pin E9 on CKT 16 (PPL) and ground.

Is continuity present?

Locate and repair the short to ground in CKT 16 (PPL) between the turn/hazard lamp flasher and connector C200.

Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C200 pin E9 on CKT 16 (PPL) and the turn/hazard lamp flasher connector cavity B7.

Is continuity present?
