1. Remove the bulb from the left stepwell lamp.
2. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the left stepwell lamp connector, cavity A for CKT 40 (ORN), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Repair the open in CKT 40 (ORN) between the left stepwell lamp connector and splice S406.

Is the left stepwell lamp operative?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Go to Step 4

1. Connect a J 39200 DMM between the left stepwell lamp connector, cavity B for CKT 156 (WHT), and ground.
2. Place the instrument panel dimmer switch in the dome switch position.

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the left stepwell lamp bulb.

Is the left stepwell lamp operative?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 156 (WHT) between splice S306 and the left stepwell lamp connector.
