Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the hood.
- Remove the side marker lamp. Refer to
Front Side Marker Lamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Remove the park/turn signal lamp. Refer to
Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Remove the bolts (4) that
retain the radiator grille (3) to the radiator support.
- Remove the retainers at the top of the radiator grille (3) from
the radiator support.
- Lift the radiator grille (3) in order to remove the locating pins
(5) on the bottom of the radiator grille (3) from the radiator support.
- Remove the radiator grille (3) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the radiator grille
(3) to the vehicle.
- Align the locating pins (5) on the bottom of the radiator grille
(3) with the pockets on the radiator support.
Lower the radiator grille (3) into position.
- Align the locating pin (2) and the retainers at the top of the
radiator grille (3) with the slots in the radiator support.
Press the retainers into place.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts
(4) that retain the radiator grille (3) to the radiator support.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 1 N·m (9 lb in).
- Install the park/turn signal lamp. Refer to
Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Install the side marker lamp. Refer to
Front Side Marker Lamp Replacement
in Lighting
Systems.
- Close the hood.
