GM Service Manual Online
For 1990-2009 cars only

The following steps apply to stains from the following substances:

    • Grease
    • Oil
    • Butter
    • Margarine
    • Shoe Polish
    • Coffee with cream
    • Chewing gum
    • Cosmetic creams
    • Vegetable oils
    • Wax crayon
    • Tar
    • Asphalts

Carefully scrape off the excess matter, then use GM Tar and Road Oil Remover GM P/N 1050172 or equivalent.

Shoe polish, wax crayons, tar, and asphalts stain if left on the trim. Remove these substances as soon as possible. Use care since the cleaner may cause the stains to bleed as the stains dissolve.
