Diagnostic Aids
Proper diagnosis for a restricted exhaust system is essential before any components are replaced. Inspect the entire exhaust system for a collapsed pipe, heat distress, or a possible internal muffler failure. Refer to Restricted Exhaust in Engine Exhaust.
