Intake Manifold Disassemble Upper with RPO 9C2


    Object Number: 68506 Size: SH
  1. Remove the ignition coil bolt and stud.
  2. Remove the ignition coil.

    3. Object Number: 354047 Size: SH
  3. Remove the throttle body nuts.

    4. Object Number: 354046 Size: SH
  4. Remove the throttle position bracket for the govener.

    5. Object Number: 18302 Size: SH
  5. Remove the throttle body.

    6. Object Number: 18303 Size: SH
  6. Remove the throttle body gasket.
  7. Remove the throttle body studs, if required.

    8. Object Number: 276413 Size: SH

    Important: Note the position of the EGR valve before removal. It is possible to improperly install the EGR valve 180 degrees from the original position.

  8. Remove the EGR valve bolts.

    9. Notice: The Linear EGR valve is an electrical component. DO NOT soak in any liquid cleaner or solvent because damage may result.

  9. Remove the EGR valve.
  10. Remove the EGR gasket.

  11. Remove the EVAP purge valve bolts.
  12. Remove the EVAP purge valve.

    13. Object Number: 501418 Size: SH
  13. Remove the secondary air injection check valve bracket stud (without RPO K19), if required.

    14. Object Number: 492023 Size: SH
  14. Remove the ECT wiring harness connector bracket bolt and ECT wiring harness connector bracket, if required.

    15. Object Number: 492029 Size: SH
  15. Remove the accelerator control cable bracket bolts and accelerator control cable bracket, if required.

  1. Remove the ignition coil bolt and stud.
  2. Remove the ignition coil.

    3. Object Number: 18299 Size: SH
  3. Remove the throttle body nuts.

    4. Object Number: 18302 Size: SH
  4. Remove the throttle body.

    5. Object Number: 18303 Size: SH
  5. Remove the throttle body gasket.
  6. Remove the throttle body studs, if required.

    7. Object Number: 276413 Size: SH

    Important: Note the position of the EGR valve before removal. It is possible to improperly install the EGR valve 180 degrees from the original position.

  7. Remove the EGR valve bolts.

    Object Number: 19673 Size: SH
  1. Remove the MAP sensor retainer nut.
  2. Remove the MAP sensor retainer.
  3. Remove the MAP sensor.

    4. Object Number: 501422 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the fuel injector regulator vacuum hose connection from the intake manifold fitting.

    5. Object Number: 492021 Size: SH
  5. Remove the fuel rail stud (1) and bolts (2, 3).
  6. Remove the fuel rail.

    7. Object Number: 65322 Size: SH
  7. Remove the coolant outlet housing bolts.
  8. Remove the coolant outlet housing.
  9. Remove the thermostat.

    10. Object Number: 492032 Size: SH
  10. Remove the ECT sensor, if required.

    11. Object Number: 492031 Size: SH
  11. Remove the thermostat bypass hose fitting, if required.
