Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the negative battery cable.
- Remove the valve cap (3) from the fuel pressure connection.
- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to
Fuel Pressure Relief
.
- Use a standard valve core tool in order to remove the valve core (2).
Installation Procedure
- Use a standard valve core
tool in order to install a new valve core (2).
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Inspect for leaks:
3.1. | Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds. |
3.2. | Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds. |
3.3. | Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds. |
3.4. | Inspect for fuel leaks. |
- Install the valve cap (3) to the fuel pressure connection
