1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
2. Remove the engine cover from the vehicle. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the turbocharger from the engine block. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement .
4. Remove the clamp and bolt from the engine block.



5. Remove the oil pump drive from the engine block.



6. Remove the oil pump drive gasket from the engine block.

Important: When replacing the oil pump drive gear, always use a oil pump drive gasket.

1. Install the oil pump drive gasket on the engine block.

Important:  Clean the bore and apply a small amount of clean engine oil in the bore and the seal for the oil pump drive gear. The oil pump drive gear should slide into place with slight resistance. Do not force the oil pump drive gear into place.




2. Install the oil pump drive in the engine block.



3. Install the oil pump drive clamp and bolt on the engine block.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

4. Install the oil pump drive clamp bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

5. Install the turbocharger on the engine block. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement .
6. Install the engine cover on the vehicle. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim
7. Connect the battery negative cables to the batteries. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
