Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 391682  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fan shroud from the radiator. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the drive belt from the pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  3. Remove the air conditioning idler pulley from the accessory bracket (non A/C only).

  4. Object Number: 520117  Size: SH
  5. Remove the drive belt idler pulley for vehicles equipped with the auxiliary generator.

  6. Object Number: 188927  Size: SH
  7. Remove the drive belt idler pulley and bolt for vehicles without the auxiliary generator.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 188927  Size: SH
  1. Install the drive belt idler pulley to the accessory bracket vehicles without the auxiliary generator.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the A/C idler pulley to the accessory bracket (non a/c only).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the drive belt idler pulley for vehicles equipped with the auxiliary generator.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  7. Install the drive belt on the pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  8. Install the fan shroud to the radiator. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
