Road test the vehicle in order to verify the customer concern.

Inspect the tires for the proper inflation pressure. Refer to Tire Inflation Pressure Specifications in Maintenance and Lubrication.

Is the tire inflation pressure correct?

Inflate the tires to the correct pressure.

Has the repair been performed?

Go to Step 4

Inspect the vehicle trim height. Refer to Trim Height Inspection . Repair as necessary.

Has the inspection/repair been performed?

Inspect the following suspension components for wear or damage.

    • Springs
    • Shock Absorbers

Are any of the components the worn or damaged?

Go to Step 6

System OK

  1. Replace all of the worn or damaged components. For shock absorber replacement, Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement in Front Suspension or Shock Absorber Replacement in Rear Suspension.
  2. For spring replacement, Refer to Front Coil Springs Replacement in Front Suspension or Leaf Spring Replacement in Rear Suspension.
  3. Test drive the vehicle.

Is the ride too soft?
