  1. Connect a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module connector cavity C for CKT 849 (PNK) and B+. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Start and idle the engine.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the P/B booster fluid pressure alarm switch.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module connector cavity C for CKT 849 (PNK) and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

  1. Connect a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between P/B booster fluid pressure alarm switch connector cavity B for CKT 860 (DK GRN) and B+. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Start and idle the engine.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the P/B booster fluid flow alarm switch.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between P/B booster fluid pressure alarm switch connector cavity B for CKT 860 (DK GRN) wire and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

  1. Disconnect connector C217.
  2. Disconnect the P/B booster fluid flow alarm.
  3. Connect a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between P/B booster fluid flow alarm connector cavity A for CKT 1471 (YEL/BLK) and B+. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair low P/B booster fluid pressure or flow. Refer to Power Steering System Test in Power Steering System for diagnostic and repair information.

Repair the short to ground in CKT 849 (PNK) between the P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module and the P/B booster fluid pressure alarm switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the short to ground in CKT 860 (DK GRN) between the P/B booster fluid pressure alarm switch and the P/B booster fluid flow alarm switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair short to ground in CKT 1471 (YEL/BLK) between the P/B booster fluid flow alarm and connector C217. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
