  1. Disconnect the P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module.
  2. Disconnect the daytime running lamps control module.
  3. Connect a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module connector cavity E for CKT 1471 (BLK/YEL) and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  4. Place the ignition switch in RUN.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Connect a J 36169-A fused jumper wire between P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module connector cavity E for CKT 1471 (BLK/YEL) and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Place the ignition switch in RUN.

Does the alarm sound?

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect connector C217.
  3. Connect a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between harness connector C217 pin B for CKT 441 (BRN) and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  4. Place the ignition switch in RUN.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the P/B booster fluid flow alarm.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between connector C217 cavity B for CKT 441 (BRN) and P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module connector cavity E for CKT 1471 (BLK/YEL). Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is the specified resistance measured?

1.5 Kohms ±10%

  1. Connect a J 39200 DMM between P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module connector cavity C for CKT 849 (PNK) and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Start and idle the engine.

Check for and repair low P/B booster fluid pressure or flow. Refer to Power Steering System Test in Steering.

  1. Disconnect the P/B booster fluid pressure alarm switch.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module connector cavity C and P/B booster fluid pressure alarm switch connector cavity A for CKT 849 (PNK). Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

  1. Connect a J 39200 DMM between P/B booster fluid pressure alarm switch pins A and B.
  2. Test for continuity (this is a normally closed switch).

  1. Disconnect the P/B booster fluid flow alarm switch.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between P/B booster fluid flow alarm switch connector cavity A and P/B booster fluid flow pressure alarm switch connector cavity B for CKT 860 (DK GRN). Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

Connect a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between the P/B booster fluid flow alarm switch ground stud for CKT 150 (BLK) and B+.

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module.
  3. Remove the GAUGES fuse.
  4. Connect a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module connector cavity E for CKT 1471 (BLK/YEL) and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  5. Place the ignition switch in RUN.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Connect a J 36169-A fused jumper wire between P/Bbooster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module connector cavity E for CKT 1471 (BLK/YEL) and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Place the ignition switch in RUN.

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect connector C217.
  3. Connect a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between harness connector C217 cavity B for CKT 441 (BRN) and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  4. Place the ignition switch in RUN.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the P/B booster fluid flow alarm.
  2. Connect J 39200 DMM between connector C217 cavity B for CKT 441 (BRN) and P/B booster fluid flow and pressure alarm delay module connector cavity E for CKT 1471 (BLK/YEL). Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is the specified resistance measured?

1.5 Kohms ±10%
