For 1990-2009 cars only
The tie rod ends are self-adjusting for wear. The tie rod ends require periodic lubrication and inspection. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations in Maintenance and Lubrication.
Replace the tie rod ends when the following conditions occur:
| • | Excessive up and down motion exists |
| • | Excessive end play |
| • | Loss of motion at the ball stud |
