Makes 🢒 GMC_Truck 🢒 2000 🢒 Savana 🢒 Steering 🢒 Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt 🢒 Enabling the SIR System
  1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.

    2. Object Number: 399187 Size: SH
  2. Connect the passenger yellow 2-way connector.
  3. Install the connector position assurance (CPA) to the passenger yellow 2-way connector.
  4. Install the passenger knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

    5. Object Number: 399181 Size: SH
  5. Connect the driver yellow 2-way connector (2) located at the base of the steering column.
  6. Install the connector position assurance (CPA) (1) to the driver yellow 2-way connector located at the base of the steering column.
  7. Install the driver knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  8. Install the AIR BAG Fuse to the IP fuse block.
  9. Staying well away from both air bags, turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
    10. 9.1. The AIR BAG warning lamp will flash 7 times.
    9.2. The AIR BAG warning lamp will then turn OFF.
  10. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - SIR if the AIR BAG warning lamp does not operate as described.
