Removal Procedure

Important: Vehicles equipped with the L65 diesel, cut the blower motor sound insulator in order to gain access to the blower motor.

  1. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement in Engine Cooling.

  2. Object Number: 301650  Size: SH
  3. Remove the electrical connectors at the blower motor.
  4. Remove the retaining screws (4) from the blower motor.
  5. Remove the blower motor (3) from the case (1).
  6. Remove the retaining clip from the fan cage.
  7. Remove the fan cage (2) from the blower motor.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 301650  Size: SH
  1. Install the fan cage (2) to the blower motor (3).
  2. Install the retaining clip to the fan cage.
  3. Install the blower motor to the case (1).
  4. Install the retaining screws (4) to the blower motor.
  5. Install the electrical connectors at the blower motor.
  6. Secure the blower motor insulator, if equipped with a L65 diesel.
  7. Install the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  8. Verify the circuit operation.
