Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the auxiliary heater case from the vehicle. Refer to Heater Case Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  4. Object Number: 301709  Size: SH
  5. Remove the retainers from the blower motor.
  6. Remove the blower motor from the heater case.
  7. Remove the retaining clip from the fan cage.
  8. Remove the fan cage from the blower motor.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 301709  Size: SH
  1. Install the fan cage to the blower motor.
  2. Install the retaining clip to the fan cage.
  3. Install the blower motor into the heater case.
  4. Install the retainers to the blower motor.
  5. Connect the electrical connectors.
  6. Install the auxiliary heater case into the vehicle. Refer to Heater Case Replacement .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
