Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the front air deflector extension from the front air deflector,
if equipped. Refer to
Air Dam Extension Replacement - Front
.
- Remove the bolts (2)
that retain the front air deflector (3) to the bumper.
- Remove the front air deflector (3) from the bumper.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front air
deflector (3) to the bumper.
- Align the locator tabs on the front air deflector (3) to
the holes in the bumper.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
air deflector retaining bolts to the bumper.
Tighten
Tighten the front air deflector retaining bolts to 3 N·m
(27 lb in).
- Install the front air deflector extension to the front air deflector,
if equipped. Refer to
Air Dam Extension Replacement - Front
.
