Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 314819  Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolts (2) that retain the front bumper brackets (3) to the frame (1).
  2. Remove the front bumper from the vehicle.
  3. Remove the front bumper impact bar brackets from the front bumper. Refer to Front Bumper Impact Bar Bracket Replacement .
  4. Remove the front bumper step pad from the bumper. Refer to Front Bumper Step Pad Replacement .
  5. Remove the front bumper step pad extensions from the front bumper impact bar, if equipped. Refer to Step Pad Extension Replacement - Front Bumper .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front bumper step pad extensions to the front bumper impact bar, if equipped. Refer to Step Pad Extension Replacement - Front Bumper .
  2. Install the front bumper step pad to the bumper. Refer to Front Bumper Step Pad Replacement .
  3. Install the front bumper impact bar brackets (3) to the front bumper and the front bumper reinforcement. Refer to Front Bumper Impact Bar Bracket Replacement .
  4. Install the front bumper to the vehicle.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the front bumper bracket retaining bolts (2) to the frame (1).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts that retain the front bumper bracket to the frame to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
