Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 308971  Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the air intake retaining fastener.
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the throttle body assembly.

  4. Object Number: 423117  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the IAT sensor harness connector from the IAT sensor. Refer to Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .

  6. Object Number: 422129  Size: SH
  7. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct from the MAF sensor assembly.
  8. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 422129  Size: SH
  1. Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the MAF sensor assembly.

  2. Object Number: 423117  Size: SH
  3. Connect the IAT sensor harness connector.

  4. Object Number: 308971  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the air intake duct on the throttle body assembly and tighten the retaining fastener.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
