Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 366998  Size: SH
  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
  3. Remove the fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 366999  Size: SH
  5. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
  6. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement in Automatic Transmission.
  7. Disconnect the engine oil cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .
  8. Disconnect the following hoses if applicable:
  9. • Surge tank hose
    • Coolant recovery hose
    • Heater outlet hose

  10. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: When adding coolant, use DEX-COOL® coolant. If silicated coolant is added to the system, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result. In addition, the engine coolant will require change sooner-at 50 000 km (30,000 mi) or 24 months.

  1. Install the radiator to the vehicle. Ensure the lower insulators are properly installed.
  2. Connect the following hoses if applicable:
  3. • Surge tank hose
    • Coolant Recovery hose
    • Heater Outlet hose
  4. Install the engine oil cooler lines to the vehicle. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .
  5. Install the transmission oil cooler lines. Refer to Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement in Automatic Transmission.

  6. Object Number: 366999  Size: SH
  7. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
  8. Install the fan shroud to the vehicle. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement

  9. Object Number: 366998  Size: SH
  10. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
  11. Refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
