The crankcase ventilation system has no serviceable components so routine maintenance of the system is not required.

A closed crankcase ventilation system is used in order to provide a more complete scavenging of crankcase vapors. The air cleaner supplies the fresh air through a filter to the crankcase. The crankcase mixes the fresh blow-by gases. This mixture then passes through a pipe/passage located in the intake manifold.
