Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 665445  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injection sight shield retaining bolt (3).
  2. Remove the fuel injection sight shield (2).

  3. Object Number: 696195  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the generator harness connector (2).
  5. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor harness connector (3).
  6. Disconnect the fuel injection harness multi-way connector.

  7. Object Number: 695582  Size: SH
  8. To disconnect the EVAP purge pipe connector (1), slide the retaining tab (2) to the release position and separate the connection.
  9. • Disconnect the engine purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve.
    • Disconnect the engine purge pipe from the chassis purge pipe.

  10. Release the purge pipe retaining clip from the fuel rail mounting bracket.
  11. Remove the EVAP engine purge pipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 693627  Size: SH
  1. Position the EVAP engine purge pipe (1) to the engine.
  2. Insert the purge pipe retaining clip into the fuel rail mounting bracket.
  3. • Connect the EVAP purge pipe (1) to the chassis purge pipe.
    • Connect the EVAP purge pipe (1) to the EVAP canister purge valve (2).

  4. To connect the purge pipe connector (1), press the components together in order to snap the tab (2) in place.

  5. Object Number: 696195  Size: SH
  6. Connect the generator harness connector (2).
  7. Connect the TP sensor harness connector (3).
  8. Connect the fuel injector harness multi-way connector.

  10. Install the fuel injection sight shield (2).
  11. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  12. Install the fuel injection sight shield retaining bolt (3).
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel injection sight shield to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
