Makes 🢒 GMC_Truck 🢒 2001 🢒 Savana 🢒 HVAC 🢒 Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning 🢒 Air Distributor Duct Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the left floor duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side .
  3. Remove the right floor duct.
  4. Remove the center floor duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Replacement - Center .
  5. Remove the instrument cluster bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  6. Remove the left instrument panel outlet duct from the vehicle.
  7. Roll out the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    8. Object Number: 301649 Size: SH
  8. Remove the retaining screws at the air distribution case.
  9. Remove the retaining screws at the instrument panel.
  10. Remove the air distribution duct from the instrument panel.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 301649 Size: SH
  1. Install the air distribution duct to the instrument panel.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the retaining screws to the instrument panel.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  3. Install the retaining screws to the air distribution case.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  4. Roll in the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  5. Install the left instrument panel outlet duct to the vehicle.
  6. Install the instrument panel cluster bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Install the center floor duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Replacement - Center .
  8. Install the right floor duct.
  9. Install the left floor duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side .
  10. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
