Removal Procedure
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to
Engine Cover Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Remove the left floor duct. Refer to
Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side
.
- Remove the right floor duct.
- Remove the center floor duct. Refer to
Floor Air Outlet Replacement - Center
.
- Remove the instrument cluster bezel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement
in Instrument Panel,
Gages and Console.
- Remove the left instrument panel outlet duct from the vehicle.
- Roll out the instrument panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the retaining screws
at the air distribution case.
- Remove the retaining screws at the instrument panel.
- Remove the air distribution duct from the instrument panel.
Installation Procedure
- Install the air distribution
duct to the instrument panel.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the retaining
screws to the instrument panel.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Install the retaining screws to the air distribution case.
Tighten
Tighten the retaining screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Roll in the instrument panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Install the left instrument panel outlet duct to the vehicle.
- Install the instrument panel cluster bezel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement
in Instrument
Panel, Gages and Console.
- Install the center floor duct. Refer to
Floor Air Outlet Replacement - Center
.
- Install the right floor duct.
- Install the left floor duct. Refer to
Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side
.
- Install the engine cover. Refer to
Engine Cover Replacement
in Interior Trim.
