Video Cassette Player Replacement Luxury Y91

1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) extension from the vehicle. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors (2) from the video cassette player (VCP).



3. Remove the screw that is retaining the VCP to the mounting bracket.



4. Remove the 3 screws from the top of the IP extension bezel.
5. Remove the 2 screws inside the lower storage compartment of the IP extension bezel.
6. Remove the VCP from the IP extension.

1. Install the VCP to the IP extension.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the 2 screws inside the lower storage compartment of the IP extension bezel.

Tighten
Tighten the 2 screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

3. Install the 3 screws to the top of the IP extension bezel.

Tighten
Tighten the 3 screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).




4. Install the screw that is retaining the VCP to the mounting bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the VCP retaining screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).




5. Connect the electrical connectors  (2) to the VCP.
6. Install the IP extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
