Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 4567  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.

  2. Object Number: 374320  Size: SH
  3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  4. Remove the engine mount through-bolt and nut for the side being replaced.
  5. Notice: When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack under the oil pan, any sheet metal, or the crankshaft pulley. Lifting the engine in an unapproved manner may cause component damage.

  6. Use a jack on the square tab at the rear of the engine block raise the engine.
  7. Remove the bolts for the frame side mount.
  8. Remove the frame side mount.

  10. Remove the bolts for the engine side mount.
  11. Remove the engine side mount and the shield.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 374403  Size: SH
  1. Install the mount and shield to the engine.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the remaining bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 54 N·m (40 lb ft).

  5. Install the mount to the frame.
  6. Install the bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).

  8. Lower the engine.

  9. Object Number: 4564  Size: SH
  10. Install the through-bolt and nut.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten to 95 N·m (70 lb ft).

  12. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  13. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
