    •  J 25033-C Power Steering Pump Pulley Installer

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 177123  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect both of the battery negatives. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the drive belt from the drive pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  4. Remove the vacuum line from the vacuum pump.

  6. Remove the vacuum pump pulley:
  7. 5.1. Attach the J 25034-C to the pulley.
    5.2. Remove the pulley from the vacuum pump using the J 25034-C .

  8. Remove the vacuum pump mounting bolts.
  9. Remove the vacuum pump from the generator bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 177149  Size: SH
  1. Install the vacuum pump.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the vacuum pump mounting bolts.

  4. Object Number: 177205  Size: SH
  5. Install the vacuum pump pulley on the vacuum pump.
  6. 3.1. Attach the J 25033-C to the vacuum pump pulley.
    3.2. Install the vacuum pump pulley to the vacuum pump.
    3.3. Remove the J 25033-C .

  7. Install the vacuum line to the vacuum pump.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Install the drive belt on the drive pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  10. Connect both of the battery negative cables. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
