Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the battery negative cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
- Disconnect the electrical
connector from the stoplamp switch.
- Remove the retainer from the brake pedal pin.
- Remove the stoplamp switch and the pushrod to the power brake
booster from the brake pedal pin.
- Unsnap the stoplamp switch from the power brake booster pushrod.
Installation Procedure
- Snap the stoplamp switch
onto the pushrod to the power brake booster.
- Install the stoplamp switch with the pushrod on the brake pedal
pin.
- Connect the electrical connector to the stoplamp switch.
- Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to
