Removal Procedure
- Remove the inside door
handle bezel. Refer to
Door Inside Handle Bezel Replacement
in Doors.
- Remove the screws that retain the right side rear door trim plates
to the right side rear door.
- Remove the right side rear door trim plate from the right side
rear door.
- Gently pull out the trim panel at the top of the window opening.
Using a suitable and long flat-bladed tool, pry the retaining clips apart
in order to disengage the clips.
- Lift the right side rear door trim panel up in order to release
the tabs on the right side rear door trim panel.
- Remove the right side rear door trim panel from the door.
Installation Procedure
- Align the tabs on the
right side rear door trim panel with the slots in the door.
- Lower the right side rear door trim panel into place.
- Align the tabs on the right side rear door trim panel with the
retaining clips around the window opening.
- Press the right side rear door trim panel in order to engage the
retaining clips.
- Install the right side rear door trim plate to the right side
rear door.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws
in order to retain the door trim plate to the right side rear door.
Tighten
Tighten the screws that retain the right side rear door trim plates
to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the inside door handle bezel. Refer to
Door Inside Handle Bezel Replacement
in Doors.
