Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 334119 Size: SH
  1. Remove the side door stepwell mat. Refer to Front Side Door Step Mat Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the bolts that retain the check assembly cover.
  3. Remove the check assembly cover from the stepwell.

    4. Object Number: 334116 Size: SH
  4. Remove the nuts (2) that retain the check assembly (1) to the sliding side door lower track (3).
  5. Remove the check assembly (1) from the sliding side door lower track (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 334116 Size: SH
  1. Install the check assembly (1) to the sliding side door lower track (3).

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the nuts (2) in order to retain the check assembly (1) to the sliding side door lower track (3).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the side door stepwell mat. Refer to Front Side Door Step Mat Replacement in Interior Trim.
