Bucket Seat Replacement All Except Luxury
Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the electrical connector
from the seat adjuster, if equipped.
- Disconnect
the electrical connector from the seat belt buckle.
- Remove the nuts (3) that retain the
seat assembly to the vehicle.
- Remove the front seat
assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front seat assembly to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the nuts (3) in order to retain
the seat assembly to the vehicle.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).
- Connect the electrical connector to the seat adjuster,
if equipped.
- Connect the electrical connector to
the seat belt buckle.

Removal Procedure
- Remove the nuts that retain
the seat riser to the floor.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the seat and the riser from the vehicle.
- Remove the front lower
speaker from the passenger seat, if needed. Refer to
Amplifier and/or Speaker Replacement - Front Seat
in Entertainment.
- Remove the bolts that retain the seat to the riser.
- Remove the power seat from the seat risers if equipped. Refer
to
Front Seat Adjuster Replacement
.
Installation Procedure
- Install the power seat to the seat risers if equipped. Refer to
Front Seat Adjuster Replacement
.
- Install the seat belt guide to the seat riser.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts that retain the seat to the riser to 43 N·m
(32 lb ft).
- Install the front lower speaker to the passenger seat, if needed.

- Install the seat and the seat riser to the vehicle.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the nuts that
retain the seat riser to the floor.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts that retain the seat riser to the floor to 43 N·m
(32 lb ft).
