Door Trim Plate Replacement Manual Windows
Tools Required
J 9886-01 Door Handle
Clip Remover
Removal Procedure
- Remove the window regulator
handle using the J 9886-01
.
- Remove the window regulator handle bezel (4).
- Remove the screws that retain the front door trim plate to the
door panel.
- Pull the bottom of the front door trim plate out in order to remove
the retainers on the front door trim plate from the front door trim panel (1).
- Remove the front door trim plate from the slots in the front door
trim panel.
- Remove the front door trim plate from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front door trim plate to the front door trim panel (1).
- Install the front door trim plate to the slots in the front door
trim panel (1).
Align the retainers on the front door
trim plate to the slots in the front door trim panel (1).
Press the trim plate into position.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws that retain the front door trim plate to the front
door trim panel (1).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).
- Install the window regulator handle bezel (4).
- Install the window regulator handle (2).
Door Trim Plate Replacement Power Windows
Removal Procedure
- Remove the inside door handle bezel. Refer to
Door Inside Handle Bezel Replacement
.
- Remove the screws (4) that retain the front door trim plate (3)
to the door panel.
- Pull the bottom of the front door trim plate (3) out in
order to remove the retainers on the front door trim plate from the front
door trim panel (5).
- Remove the front door trim plate from the slots in the front door
trim panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors (1, 2) from the switches
on the front door trim plate.
- Remove the front door trim plate (3) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front door trim plate (3) to the front door trim
panel (5).
- Connect the electrical connectors (1,2) to the switches
on the front door trim plate (3).
- Install the front door trim plate (3) to the slots in the
front door trim panel (5).
Align the retainers on the
front door trim plate (3) to the slots in the front door trim panel (5).
Press the trim plate into position.

Tighten the screw that retains the front door trim plate to 1.9 N·m

Door Trim Plate Replacement Side/ Rear Door
Removal Procedure
- Remove the inside door handle bezel. Refer to
Door Inside Handle Bezel Replacement
.
- Remove the screws that retain the side front door trim plate to the
side front door.
- Remove the side front door trim plate from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the side front door trim plate to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.

side front door.
Tighten
Tighten the screw that retain the front door trim plate to 1.9 N·m
(17 lb in)
- Install the inside door handle bezel. Refer to
