Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the hood.

  2. Object Number: 314960  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws (3) retaining the air inlet grille panels (1, 2) to the cowl vent.
  4. Close the hood.
  5. Remove the wiper arms from the vehicle. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement in Wiper/Washer System.
  6. Disconnect the washer hoses from the air inlet grille panel.
  7. Remove the air inlet grille panels (1, 2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air inlet grille panels (1, 2) to the vehicle.
  2. Align the retainers (4) in the body with the tabs on the grille panel (1, 2). Press the retainers into place.
  3. Connect the washer hoses to the air inlet grille panel.
  4. Install the wiper arms to the vehicle. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement in Wiper/Washer Systems.
  5. Open the hood.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the screws (3) in order to retain the air inlet grille panels (1, 2) to the cowl vent.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

  9. Close the hood.
