Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 366998  Size: SH
  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
  3. Remove the fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 366999  Size: SH
  5. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
  6. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement in Automatic Transmission - 4L60-E.
  7. Disconnect the engine oil cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .
  8. Disconnect the following hoses if applicable:
  9. • Surge tank hose
    • Coolant recovery hose
    • Heater outlet hose

  10. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: When adding coolant, use DEX-COOL® coolant. If silicated coolant is added to the system, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result. In addition, the engine coolant will require change sooner-at 50 000 km (30,000 mi) or 24 months.

  1. Install the radiator to the vehicle. Ensure the lower insulators are properly installed.
  2. Connect the following hoses if applicable:
  3. • Surge tank hose
    • Coolant Recovery hose
    • Heater Outlet hose
  4. Install the engine oil cooler lines to the vehicle. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .
  5. Install the transmission oil cooler lines. Refer to Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement in Automatic Transmission - 4L60-E.

  6. Object Number: 366999  Size: SH
  7. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
  8. Install the fan shroud to the vehicle. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .

  9. Object Number: 366998  Size: SH
  10. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
  11. Refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
