Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 520123  Size: SH
  1. Remove the drive belt from the drive pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  2. Remove the ground wire mounted to the tensioner.
  3. Remove the mounting bolt for the tensioner.
  4. Remove the tensioner from the generator bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 520123  Size: SH
  1. Install the drive belt tensioner assembly.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the mounting bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the tensioner assembly bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the ground wire and bolt to the tensioner.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the ground wire bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the drive belt on the drive pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
