Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery negative terminal. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Disconnect the auxiliary battery positive and negative cables. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Positive Cable Replacement and Auxiliary Battery Negative Cable Replacement .
  4. Remove the auxiliary battery hold-down retainer bolt.

  5. Object Number: 184057  Size: SH
  6. Remove the auxiliary battery from the auxiliary battery tray.

  7. Object Number: 105147  Size: SH
  8. Remove the auxiliary battery hold-down tray bolts.
  9. Remove the auxiliary battery tray from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105147  Size: SH
  1. Install the auxiliary battery tray to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the auxiliary battery tray bolts to the battery tray.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the auxiliary battery tray bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the auxiliary battery to the auxiliary battery tray.
  6. Install the auxiliary battery hold-down retainer bolt.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  8. Connect the auxiliary battery positive and negative cables. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Positive Cable Replacement and Auxiliary Battery Negative Cable Replacement .
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Install the front battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
