Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
- Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Remove the coolant recover reservoir. Refer to
Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
.
- Remove the evaporator inlet hose nut (1) from the evaporator.
- Remove the evaporator inlet hose clip screw (2).
- Remove the evaporator inlet hose retaining nut from the front hose.
- Remove the evaporator inlet hose from the vehicle.
- Remove the sealing washers.
Installation Procedure
- Install the new sealing washers. Refer to
Sealing Washer Replacement
.
- Install the evaporator inlet hose in to the vehicle.
- Install the evaporator inlet hose to the evaporator.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the evaporator inlet hose retaining nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Install the evaporator inlet hose fitting to the front evaporator tube.
Tighten
Tighten the fitting to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Install the screw into evaporator hose clip (1).
Tighten
Tighten the fitting to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Install the coolant recover reservoir. Refer to
Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
.
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Leak test the fittings of the components using the
J 39400-A
.
